Overview

This pilot study aims to determine the feasibility of a large study to address the association between the incidence of covert and clinical strokes following a cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery with prevalence of in-hospital post-operative delirium and cognitive decline at discharge, and to assess resource requirements.

Prospective observational study

Primary Endpoint

To determine feasibility of the large study in terms of recruitment, and rate of research MRI completed per week at Hamilton General Hospital, and number lost to follow-up.
