Jolly-TilePHRI Principal Investigator, Sanjit Jolly presented the TOTAL Trial results at ACC.15 held in San Diego California. One of only five presenters in the Late-Breaking Clinical Trials sessions, Dr. Jolly’s Interventional Cardiology presentation TCT@ACC-12, took place on Monday, March 16. An accompanying paper, published by the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) was released simultaneously.

TOTAL, (A randomized trial of routine aspiration Thrombectomy with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) versus PCI ALone in patients with STEMI undergoing primary PCI) set out to determine if aspiration thrombectomy could reduce the rate of cardiovascular death, re-infarction or cardiogenic shock in patients with STEMI undergoing primary PCI.
