Rachel Eikelboom

We are delighted to welcome a new Investigator and three new Research Fellows to PHRI!

New Investigator, Rachel Eikelboom, is a cardiac surgery resident and PhD candidate in the Health Research Methodology program at McMaster University under the supervision of PHRI Scientist Richard Whitlock and PHRI Investigator Emilie Belley-Cote. Rachel is a co-investigator of SUNDANCE, a sub-study of the DANCE trial.

Mohamed Bella Jalloh is a new Research Fellow at PHRI under the supervision of PHRI Scientist Harriette Van Spall. His main focus will include clinical trial methodology and implementation science. He will be involved in a multi-centre randomized controlled trial in heart failure. He was previously a global health scholar at the University of Oxford, and received his medical degree at the University of Sierra Leone.

Mohamed Jalloh

Another new Research Fellow, Ana Tonelli, supervised by PHRI Investigator Flavia Borges, will be involved in an international multi-centre randomized controlled clinical trial in perioperative care. Ana is an internal medicine physician at Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre, Brazil, and an Associate Professor at Unisinos University.
