The objective of the NIATH study was to determine if non-invasive measures of atherosclerosis will be abnormal in children with increased risk for developing coronary artery disease, including children with hyperlipidemia, with diabetes (Type 1 or 2) and who are obese.

Primary endpoint:

IMR and BAR measures in children age 5 to 18 years and measures of cardiovascular risk, obesity and diabetes.

Secondary endpoint:

Measures of environmental factors and family history.
