Shana Lamers is the Laboratory Manager for the ISO15189Plus-accredited Clinical Research Laboratory and Biobank (CRLB), affiliated with PHRI. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the biorepository and analytical services within the CRLB. She supports and collaborates with research studies for the development of the specimen collection protocols, shipping logistics and biospecimen storage.
Prior to her current position as Manager, Shana was a Research Technologist in the Genetic and Molecular Epidemiology Laboratory (GMEL), performing biomarker and genetic analyses on PHRI-driven studies.
Shana brings more than 10 years of laboratory experience, and has a Bachelors in Forensic Biology from Laurentian University, and a Master’s of Science degree in Biology from Lakehead University.
