Dr. Pigeyre received her medical degree from the University of Lille in France (2007). After completing her endocrinology training, she pursued a PhD in Epidemiology and Genetics at Lille University (2011) and then a clinical and research post-doctoral fellowship in epidemiology, genetics and biomarkers at McMaster University (2015-19). She was recently hired as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Endocrinology. Dr. Pigeyre has received peer-reviewed New Investigating Funding from Hamilton Health Sciences, and is supported by the Medicine Internal Career Award from McMaster University.
Her research interests include genetics and biomarkers of cardiometabolic diseases, and vascular complications of diabetes. She is also the project officer for the PURE biomarker program. She has published more than 50 peer-reviewed scientific papers.
