Overview

To examine the effects of exercise training on functional capacity in patients with heart failure.

Study Design

Randomized controlled, single-blind trial (blinded end point evaluation; stratification by center).

Primary Endpoint

The 6-minute walk test was considered the primary outcome measure for this study. Other important outcome measures were peak oxygen uptake, dynamic muscle strength, quality of life, and cardiac function.
