Dr. Demers works in the Heart Failure and LV Dysfunction Program at the Population Health Research Institute. She is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine and Division of Cardiology at McMaster University. Current research focuses on improving clinical outcomes in older heart failure patients. Dr. Demers held a Career Scientist Award from the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care of Ontario (2003-2010). She has published over 40 Articles in peer review journals.

Research Interests

  • Management of heart failure in the primary care setting, the impact of mild cognitive deficits and self-care on clinical outcomes and E-Health
  • Investigator in the Heart Failure and Left Ventricular Dysfunction Program at the Population Health Research Institute
