PHRI Researcher Honours and Awards

Population Health Research Institute researchers are recipients of some of the most respected awards in medical research. Recognized by peers, national as well as international governments and highly esteemed organizations the world over, PHRI’s researchers collectively hold more than 140 awards and recognitions.

    • Robert G. Siekert New Investigator Award in Stroke, AHA to Ashkan Shoamanesh, PHRI's stroke and cognition program
    • Heart and Stroke Foundation Henry JM Barnett Scholarship for highest ranked National New Investigator Award in cerebrovascular disease research to Ashkan Shoamanesh for his hemorrhagic stroke research work at PHRI.
    • Royal College of Canada: Guillaume Paré is a member of the incoming class of the RSC's College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists.
